Solar Street Lights Program

Before 2 years Nepal was facing the problem of load-shedding. Weak economic condition, lack of proper coordination among donor countries, political instability, lack of skilled manpower, electricity leakage was some of the
reasons for load-shedding in Nepal. The streets of Kathmandu city were almost dark by the evening, which in turn promote a few negative activities in the community. Robbery, theft, violence, has increased as there is
load-shedding in the evening time. This had brought our attention in alternative sources of light, that is, solar street lights. We had so far erected 32 street poles from Old Baneshwor chowk to Sinamangal bridge and
working to fix battery and solar panel.
